Updated:  So I created a poll to go along with this journal.  The option for allowing members the ability to create their own city for their tamers got 0 votes. So that is an easy option to eliminate.  The second two options on the other hand received votes of 8 and 6. Which is pretty close to me.  So, close to an equal amount of people want only one city while the others want to choose from a list of cities.

So my problem with multiple cities is how interaction will happen in the member's comics.  If everyone lives in different cities, it seems like it would be problematic for both characters to have to meet up and battle.  Each comic is gonna have to have an explanation on why that person's character is in the same city (other than, I was assigned by the byte's group to battle you so I came to your city) Not that a good explanation can't be done but it seems much simpler if everyone just lived in the same city and visited the same byte center for battling.  So I guess my question is for those that voted for multiple cities, does this seem like a hassle or am I just being overly concerned? What are your thoughts?

I'm looking for member's opinions on how the bytes world should be for the group.

I originally created this Map of Ethra by ShellYeah but I'm not sure if I should use that for the group. I dunno if I like the idea of each city being related to each byte element. Seems too pokemon-ish to me now. What do you guys think?

--Should I have a list of cities and members choose which city they want their tamers to live in?
--Should I just leave it blank and members create there own city for there tamers?
--Or should the group just take place in Univer City (where my characters live)

I can see where your coming from when it comes to having everyone in one city. As it would make it much easier to explain how characters would interact and reduce some of the complications.

Personally I think one city is fine, you just need to make the city large enough and have a large enough variety of environment within it to warrant it. Have a variety of sections that define who would live there with a nice variety of color pallets and scenery. Other than that it just needs to be really, REALLY big.

Adding an idea already mentioned. You can make certain sections of the city be associated with the certain byte types.

and again, in this case it would need to be a very, VERY big city.
